WELCOME
This site used to be called ‘Marcia Willett’s West Country’ but it was suggested that this was the wrong title as there is more to Marcia’s novels than the landscape, important though that is. So, welcome to a new web site which covers all aspects of the novels.

Each book has its own section accesses by clicking on the title to the left - but do read the warning below! Within in section there are the following sub-sections.
    BEHIND THE BOOK tells you something about the way the book was written, how the characters evolved and how the wetting were found.
    THE PLACES lists all the locations in the books - real and fictional - with links to the web sites of some of the places mentioned so that you can find out more about them if you want to and photographs as appropriate.
      THE MAPS show you where the action takes place.

In this section you will find the family trees of the main characters in the books.
