Kate walked her dogs here, on Walkhampton Common and this photograph was taken from the car park where she and Alex stopped after they had been to Cass’s party. On a clear day you can see hills of Bodmin moor in the distance.
Everything is constantly changing on the moor. The left had picture was taken in May 2007 and the one on the right in December 2008. In that time, the hawthorn tree had been toppled by the wind: it is now no more than a stump.
